|Format:||72 Hole stroke play; Field will be cut to low 60 and ties following the completion of the second round.|

|Location:||The Senior Open will be contested on the highly ranked Oak Tree National course designed by Pete Dye in Edmond, Oklahoma. This will be the 2nd USGA Championship staged at Oak Tree National. The first USGA Championship was the 1984 U.S. Amateur. Previous events include the 2012 Trans-Mississippi Championship, the 2006 Sr. PGA Championship, the 2000 PGA Club Pro Championship, the 1988 PGA Championship, 1980 PGA Cup Matches, and the 1978-1979 PGA Round of Champions.|
